Pipa Kite Commercial for Shell
The kite in the video is a Brazilian Pipa Kite, indigenous to Brazil.
The video is very instructive. It shows things not to do with a kite. Running doesn't work. Throwing the kite up doesn't work. It is the dog who finally gets it right, grabbing the kite and taking it down wind away from the flier. Then it is easily pulled up in to the sky!

Snowflake Kite Starbucks Commercial
Starbucks is airing a "Taste of the Season" commercial that uses white Snowflake Facet kites. Of course, there was no wind for the shoot, so in the city shots, helium balloons were used to loft the kites for filming. The 'open area' shots are in Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Now This is a Night Fly
This is a great video of a terrific night fly demonstration.
Acoording to LiveLeaks.com, These amazing kites are flying over the Caspian Sea in a special performance for the President of Turkmenistan. The delta kites are 17' wingspan kites with Super LED lights and fireworks all controlled by radio control. The diamond kites are 6' wide and 6' high with 100' tails. The kites are two line steerable kites.

Once upon a time there was a show on TV called "The Secret Life of Machines". The second episode of the show was "The Secret Life of the Sewing Machine".

Uncle Traveling Matt
Do you remember Fraggle Rock? It was Jim Henson's show about the Woozle World. It was a children's show that he hoped would bring about world peace.
Gobo's Uncle Matt left the security of Fraggle Rock to explore Outer Space. This video is about Uncle Traveling Matt's first postcard to his nephew Gobo, reporting his observations of the Silly Creatures in Outer Space.
When Gobo remembers Matt's postcard, Gobo, Boober, Mokey and Red have been captured by the Gorgs. Gobo tries to lighten things up by reading Uncle Matt's postcard.
